Privacy Policy
dcapps.org ("we", "us") operates a set of small image-processing tools. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
1. Data we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we store your chosen username and a bcrypt hash of your password. If you sign in with Google, we additionally store your Google account ID and email address (returned by Google).
- Image processing data. When you use the background-removal or auto-crop tools, we temporarily store the uploaded image and its processed result on our server to display the result back to you and for service quality control. Only the 100 most recent operations across all users are kept; older files are deleted automatically.
- Support tickets. If you contact support, the subject, message and any reply text are stored in our database and linked to your account.
- Technical logs. Standard web server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) are kept for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
- Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, Yandex Metrika is loaded. It collects anonymized behavior data (page views, click maps, session recordings) and stores its own cookies on your device. Yandex acts as a separate data processor; see Yandex Privacy Policy.
2. How we use the data
- Authenticate you and let you access your processed images and tickets.
- Provide the requested image-processing service.
- Communicate with you about your support tickets.
- Detect and prevent abuse, debug technical issues.
- If you accepted analytics: understand how the site is used in order to improve it.
3. Cookies
We use the following cookie categories:
- Essential (always set): session cookie used to keep you signed in. The site cannot function without it.
- Analytics (only with your consent): Yandex Metrika cookies.
You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
4. Sharing with third parties
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google; we receive your Google ID and email, and Google receives the fact that you authenticated with our application.
- Yandex Metrika — only if you accept analytics cookies.
- We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
5. Data retention
- Account data: until you request deletion.
- Processed images: last 100 operations are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
- Support tickets: kept while your account exists.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us via the support page (Sign in → Support → New ticket) or by email.
